Matt Logan is a Certified Financial Planner™. He is responsible for overseeing the firm's investment processes, advising clients in a broad range of services, and managing all of our stock portfolios. He guides his clients through the six step, comprehensive financial planning process, as described by the CFP® board. His favorite part of what he does is building strong relationships with his clients and the satisfaction he gets when he sees them achieve their financial goals.

Matt moved to Greensboro at the age of 5 and loves calling Greensboro home. Growing up, he had the opportunity to go to middle school in Budapest, Hungary and two years of high school in Tokyo, Japan while following his fathers international business career with Time Warner.

With the goal of being a financial advisor, Matt graduated with a degree in Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill. His experience includes summers working for JC Bradford and UBS PaineWebber through college. After college and a market crash, Matt spent two years opening new restaurant franchises around North Carolina and gained valuable experience in starting and running a business. Matt eventually returned to his goal of helping people plan their financial futures. He spent a year with a large brokerage firm and came over to Loflin Financial after becoming engaged to Evan in 2004.

Matt is very involved in the community including leadership roles with SynerG, Kidspath and United Way's Loaned Professional Program. He has also been involved with Ducks Unlimited, the 1808 Foundation, Future Fund, the Prelude Society, Racquets for the Cure, UNC's Young Alumni, Search Ministries and the Guilford Education Alliance.

Experience: Matt holds his Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses along with his Life, Health, Long Term Care and Medical Supplement licenses as well as the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Hobbies: Spending time with his daughter, Lila, playing basketball, playing golf, cooking, home improvement projects, a vegetable garden, Saturday mornings at the Greensboro Farmers Curb Market and UNC athletics.
